Bird-Nest Type Multitube Airshaft

Bird-Nest Multitube Type Airshaft is another type of Multitube Airshaft. 

It is normally made for diameter bigger than 200mm = 8inch type. Because its advantage is this structure could help to reduce the weight of the Multitube Airshaft.

The normal 200MM diameter Multitube Air shaft need to use solid aluminum tube for production. As we all know, the solid tube is always very heavy, and it would caused some trouble for working.

But if we change it into the Bird-Nest Multi Bladder Air Shaft, we use aluminum profile and make a hollow inner structure. This structure is much more lighter in weight. It can provide great convience for workers.

   --2. Why need to choose Bird-Nest Type multitube airshaft:

       Bird-Nest type Airshaft looks like the Bird nest, it is where its name come from.

It has the hollow structure, but its overall function is the same with the other multitube airshaft.

     But why you need to choose bird-nest type considering the using of airshaft?

There are serveral reasons you may need to consider:

     1. Diameter problem:

    The aluminum multitube airshaft is made by aluminum profile. It is a kind of aluminum tube. In normal case, only standard type have aluminum profile modules.

Like 3inch or 6inch, it is ligher.

     However, when it comes to bigger diameter, we need to choose solid aluminum tube. It is much more heavier. But Bird-Nest type can help to reduce the weight because of the hollow structure.

      And sometimes, certain diameter type airshaft do not have suitable aluminum tube. But bird-nest type is ok for any diameter customerization. There it will become a good choice for customers. Especially for bigger diameter type.

    2. Material Reason:

     Some customers would consider using steel material for making the multitube airshaft when there is a bigger diameter requirement or others. But steel is extremely heavy if it is made into bigger diameter.

     Because bird-nest type airshaft is still aluminum material based air shaft. As a result, it can hold bigger weight load while keeping a ligher self-weight.

    3. Cost:

    If using solid aluminum tube or steel tube to make bigger diameter airshaft. The cost would be higher. For reason there is few standard raw material tube in market. Sometimes the bird-nest multitube air shaft is a more ecnomic choice for us.

    4. Air shaft Performance:

    Although customers could choose lug type as the bigger diameter air expanding shaft choice. Multitube air shaft still have a lot of advantages, such as ligher weight, and uniform expanding, lower concentricty and jumping and easy repairing work as well.

    It can suit high-speed machine rotation requirement or high precision machine. Lug type air shaft is weaker in these area.

    To sum up, in certain using circumstances, the bird-nest multitube air shaft is a very good choice for customers.

      For this Bird-Nest Type Airshaft, we only use Aluminum Tube as the Material. But if you have higher raw material requirement. We can even consider using Stainless Steel, Carbon Fiber or Titanium

         Weight Load Ability:

       Although it is the hollow type Airshaft, its weight load ability is also good for using.
